 Welcome to SMART Minimize

Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tomorrow:  Four States, Infinite Possibilities ....... SMART States

We welcome your active participation in SMART.

Mission: The SMART Initiative is integrated collaboration on Science & Technology issues in support of Mid-Atlantic competitiveness for Tech Enterprise, Economic Development and STEM Education/Workforce Development.

SMART's unique collaboration is among:

           - Congressional Caucus (DE, MD, NJ & PA)
           - Federal Executive Branch
           - International Allies
           - States
           - SMART Regional Tech Community (SMART NFP)
-- Academia, Industry, Gov’t Labs and Support Organizations

The SMART NFP  provides the daily, grass-roots execution of the SMART Caucus and States' vision for regional collaboration that will increase our international competitiveness. Our products are case studies on issues and resultant networking events and projects. These are faciltated via 14 Technology Groups.

There are no current plans for any federal or state appropriations (an update to past planning) and there were never plans for any Federal or State regulatory role for the SMART initiative. SMART simply facilitates collaboration.
