SMART Company
The SMART membership company adds value to the SMART regional S&T initiative by executing and integrating the regional vision of the initiative pending the stand up of the interstate Authority. The SMART company mission is support of Research & Development and technology based opportunities for economic growth in the 4-State Region (DE, MD, NJ & PA).
Our goals to accomplish this mission are:
Develop and increase inter-state, cross disciplinary collaboration among the technical communities of DE, MD, NJ & PA.
Foster collaboration among academia, businesses, government and organizations.
Promote existing and seek new Mid-Atlantic S&T enterprise.
Enhance technical education and workforce development.
SMART is a membership company of academia, businesses, government labs/field agencies and organizations. Overseen by a Board of Directors(below), the focus of SMART is collaboration in and among our 13 Technology Groups(see main menu). The products of the Groups are, addressing S&T issues, networking and conducting or participating in events and projects. General SMART events and projects are conducted by the Executive Director. Since 1999, SMART has conducted 231 events and has facilitated $450M+ in projects.
